What Are Nanobots?
Imagine being able to cure any disease that you have without even knowing you have it. Cancer, sickness, perhaps even genetic diseases all gone. Its a miracle you say! How can we do it? Nanobots! Nanobots are tiny robots. Small enough to flow through the body. Smaller than a cell, although many aren’t. Point is, they are very, very small! They are meant to assist in delivering drugs, diagnosis, surgery, genetic engineering or artificial muscles and neurons. Some nanobots can walk along DNA?
What Can They Be Used For?
There are so many possibilities. If they become advanced enough, who knows what could be done. It all depends on the limits of the technology. Nanobots could have the potential to aid in the development of Neuralink technology, connecting our brains to the internet! They have the potential to defeat all forms of cancer. In the future, you might just need one injection of microrobots as a child and your set for life. In the future, never need to go to the doctor, nano and microbots (along with genetic engineering) will end all disease and help to heal wounds quickly. Artificial muscles may increase our strength and nanobots help to metabolise our food.
What Are The Problems?
Imagine if you have nanobots, controlling many of your bodily functions, maybe even your brain. Imagine if a hacker hacked into the control centre of your nanobots? They could wreak havoc, literally killing you. If we have nanobot-brain interfaces, someone could control our decisions. They could make us buy their products, travel to certain places or really do what ever they want! So, maybe we should’t do this. Or, maybe we should, maybe the benefits far out-way the potential drawbacks.
